I installed a Kirk Racing 4 point roll bar the summer of '99 and I can say that if I knew it was this inexpensive, this easy to install, and looked this good I would have done it much sooner than that. The bar is a full 2 inch DOM tube frame (by comparison the Autopower roll bar is only 1 3/4" tube). It weighs about 70lbs. A little on the heavy side but worth it I think (the Autopower, I believe, is in the 55lb range). The bar does require removal of the jack and tools because the rear braces bolt to the chassis at these locations in the rear hatch area. I just put the tools and jack in the bins behind the rear seats. The Kirk bar does not require removal of the two rear speakers as does the Autopower bar - not a good thing for cars without the Bose system (the Bose system does not use these speaker locations so it might be ok). I'm not knocking the Autopower bar I just think the Kirk bar is better. And yes it does remove a some of the seat travel for the passenger and a small amount for the driver but I'm only 5'8" so I couldn't care less as it works fine for me (there is an option to have the bar located to the area where the bins are located - to maintain seat travel for taller drivers but obviously this would require bin elimination). I had the bar custom powder coated to match the car. The install took about 4 hours with then help of one of my track buddies. We installed two roll bars, one in his car and one in mine in one day start to finish. This basically included lifting the car completely off the ground removing the rear wheels, taking out the seats, removing the tools and jack, placing the bar in the car, drilling the holes, and bolting it up. Then putting everything back together and viola! I also cut the trim panels to form fit around the roll bar for a very stock looking appearance.
